In an great finish the Dyersville Jurassics won in dramatic fashion over the
Langley Farm Team by a score of 4 to 3 at the ballpark.
Dyersville had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. After two were out Billy Butler began the rally when
he hit a single. Ryan Raburn was next and he cracked a two-run shot
resulting in an exciting win for Dyersville and a wild post-game celebration
by the home town fans. Dyersville had 9 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Brian Sanches(3-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings.
Kevin Gregg(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings allowing 2 hits and no walks.
Jim Aldrich was all smiles after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty dim
there for a while, but our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans -
they kept cheering us on. What a sweet win!'
